¿Qué hago si necesito ver a un doctor fuera de las horas?
Fuera de las horas regulares de cirugía, SOUTHDOC proporciona cobertura médica. Todos los doctores en Ballymodan participan en SOUTHDOC. Cuando llame al consultorio después de que se cierre la cirugía, se le brindarán los detalles de cómo comunicarse con SOUTHDOC y las horas en que el servicio está disponible a través de un mensaje grabado.

¿Cuál es el procedimiento cuando llamo a Southdoc?
Su llamada será respondida por un miembro del personal de la base Southdoc y se le pedirá que proporcione detalles del paciente y un número de teléfono de contacto. Si tiene una tarjeta médica, se le pedirá el número y la fecha de caducidad.
Esta información se pasará a una enfermera de triaje que le devolverá la llamada tan pronto como sea posible. La enfermera reunirá toda la información médica relevante y hará una evaluación que llevará a uno de los siguientes:
Se ofrecerá la próxima cita disponible para que el paciente asista a un médico en el centro de Southdoc más cercano a usted
Para pacientes que están gravemente enfermos o que carecen de movilidad, se ofrecerá una visita a domicilio.Si los detalles proporcionados sugieren un problema médico menor, la enfermera le aconsejará al paciente o tutor.
La oficina de Southdoc enviará los detalles de su llamada telefónica y la consulta posterior al médico que el paciente haya designado lo antes posible. En la mayoría de los casos, esta información se enviará por fax a su médico de cabecera a la mañana siguiente.
